Is there anyone (age 17-19) who could take my sister to Homecoming?

If I lived in California I'd take her. And if my date to Homecoming wouldn't be just little upset....

Seriously though, I think if I were your sister I would be more upset at my brother (sister? I don't know your gender) thinking me so pathetic and desperate that he/she found me a date to homecoming on the web, than I would be to just not go in the first place.

Don't say that.

And after reconsidering, I won't send her pic right away. I'll provide you with her e-mail addy, and you guys can chat a bit... if she decides to send you her picture, that's her decision.

Maybe horribly is too strong a word, but I don't think the situation will turn out that great simply because:

1) The two people will barely know eachother.
2) The guy will be going to a HS dance where he will probably know nobody there besides your sister. A HS dance as a first date is not that great..........

She wants to go for the experience... doesn't want to live with the regret of never going to a high school dance (although looking back on it, I don't think it'd be too much of a bad thing). Hopefully whoever may go with her will exchange a couple e-mails and maybe go out for lunch or something beforehand. It won't necessarily be a date... definitely more of a friend thing. If you can let loose, relax, dance and have fun (she's a GREAT dancer!!) without worrying about what other people think, then you'd be perfect. Plus, I'll take you out to lunch or dinner when I fly out to Dallas to visit my family the first weekend of October...

I'm from Plano but I'm off at Cornell right now so I guess thats not much help.

What school does she go to though? Kinda off-topic but I could of sworn all the schools around here were like 10% asian, at least.

I am in College Station and that wouldn't be too far, but I don't think I am quite the person you would be looking for, 19 and not single doesn't make the best date. But I can tell you that I hate all that BS that comes with stupid people who form cliques in High School.

Haha I'm 23, if I took your sister we'd probably get the wrong kind of attention.............

But going out beforehand definitely sounds like a good idea. Good luck with whatever happens.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that I do have personal experience. Went to then G/F's winter formal (we went to different schools) and I didn't know anyone else there besides her. I was pretty bored..........

Does one have to be of the same race to date another? I'm Caucasian and I prefer Asians... Is there something wrong with me then?

No, I'm just saying that Asians tend to be friendly with other Asians.

If only I could dance and didn't live 200 miles away I would do it... Assuming your sister is hot like you.

I am asking one of my crazy friends (i.e. spontaneous), she would prolly have a blast if he feels like the drive

Crazy makes me nervous, but spontaneous is good.

I have to go home now, but I'll post first thing tomorrow morning with more details.

Thank you for the overwhelming kindness and support in this thread... I sincerely hope something good will come out of this, and will be back around 9am PST tomorrow morning.

Have a great night, everyone... you guys are the best.

My firend is the type who always acts with his heart, he is a really nice guy who is the type who might drive from corpus to dallas to do something sweet like that. I would trus tthis guy with my sister if I had one. He is allso the type who makes sure you have fun, and you never can be embarassed about yourself around him since he is always the one who everyone is laughing at (in a good way).
