Is there anyone (age 17-19) who could take my sister to Homecoming?

I've seen pics of the sister in question when it was in Dezign's sig for a while. Whoever does her this favor will not be disappointed. Hope it works out well for her.

Dezign, you need to PM Atrail, Angrymarshmallow, Rent, etc, they're all in that part of DFW, and closer to her age than I am (am married anyway & old).

They're all pretty cool & haven't clicked on this thread cuz they don't know your sis lives in Plano....

Am sure they know someone in her age group

I remember when my highschool crush asked me out to Homecoming. I thought she liked me but it turned out that she asked only 'cause she couldn't find someone to take her. She led me on that entire night and cost me a ton of money. I'm pissed that women NEEEEED a man to blow money on them for homecoming - whether they're close friends or complete strangers.

Nothing personal but tell her to go herself

Edit: Urrr..... *cough* sorry about that. A bit bitter there. Hope she has a good time

I would but it's a bit of a drive from Houston
Tell her to hang out at a Barnes and nobles or a cafe. I've seen some pretty intellectual conversations spark up between strangers who are reading.

Hah. I am actually the kind of person who would drive 200 miles, but then I would let her sister down by being a loser. My hair would not let her down though. Then I would fall in love and resort to drugs to fill the space left by her.

I don't know anyone her age, unfortunately. All my friends are in the high 20's+

It probably doesn't count for much but most people still think I'm 16. It sucks :|

I'd be happy to take her out....is it okay if I bring a few of my friends along?

My friends: :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

On a more serious note...high school dances aren't all that great. And if she's separating herself because she doesn't like the stupidity of cliques, then she should have little desire to attend the dance. Maybe the problem is something deeper...along the lines of loneliness/sadness. Perhaps she just needs someone to care for her?

I don't know your sister and am only suggesting a line of thought. No matter the veracity of what I wrote, good luck to you and to her.

On the flip side...
I once though that too. That was until I started going to them my senior year. I got asked (which is why I went) to homecomming (it was like the third dance of the year, first formal). And after that I asked myself "Why have I never gone before?" Now, I did go to junior prom, but it sucked the biggest monkey balls ever. I dont think my date really wanted to go with me, actualy I know she didnt want to go with me. So tht sucked, she was a major downer the entire night. But fvck her you know? Anyways... I ended up going to all of the dances my senior year and I really enjoyed everyone of them. Prom was probably my least favorite with homecomming taking the cake. She should just go alone if she really wants to go.

Just my jumbled $.02

If you don't mind me asking, which high school in Dallas (I'm from the metroplex myself)

I have quite a few friends there that might be able to but it's kinda short notice so I couldn't promise anything.

This is such a sad story

I went to private school for 13 yrs and it doesn't seem anywhere near as clicky as you describe :0. My recommendation is she become an elitist emokid : )...seriously though... I had a couple friends who seemed like they wouldn't hang around with any highschool people at all, I think if your sister got involved in maybe some courses, activities, service at a college she might be a bit happier.

Feel really bad for your sister though : \
