Is there somewhere you can get foreign currency

I'm taking a trip to Europe soon and was thinking it would be nice to have already exchanged some dollars for Euros.. Anyone know where you would need to go?

I believe your only option in the US is online. Someplace that sells cash in bulk. How many pounds of Euros do you need? Would 10 lbs be sufficient?

When I was living in Rochester, my local HSBC had plenty of Canadian money on hand, since Niagara Falls/Toronto is a popular weekend destination for Western New Yorkers. But my teller always looked at me with a disapproving eye--I'm sure she knew I was using the money for strippers.

Any bank at an international airport should be able to do it.

My bank offers free atm usage - they refund the fee that other banks charge so that you can use any atm for free. When I was in Ireland this came in very handy as I always got mastercards exchange rate with little to no fee ( I think it was 2% on purchases, don't recall what it was for atm withdrawals). Very convenient

There are places online where I can buy cash? So now I don't have to wait in line at the ATM. I can just pay online with a credit card and they ship the cash to my door?

I know it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling having money in your pocket when you get there, but I also just hit up the ATM at the airport when I land, you have to pay a small atm surcharge (at least in my case it was only 2 or 3 dollars, which my bank refunded to me) but you get the best exchange rate that current day. When you goto a bank they usually add on a few percent (at minimum, sometimes up to 10%) to the exchange rate so you end up paying a fairly big fee to have them exchange money for you.
