Yes, and Mustangs lose value rather quick. Looking at used market, the Ecoboost goes for $17-24k depending on mileage/year (2015/16).At this point it is a one year old used car the second you drive it off the lot. That is the dilemma for people who buy leftovers. If you are keeping the car a long time it makes sense. If you plan on having it a few years and trading it then it's not really a great strategy.
I haven't seen that at all, I've been seeing stupid high resale asks on used mustangs. Not sure if they're actually moving for anywhere close to that, but I've seen resale listings go for roughly $1-2K less than what you could get brand new off true car.Yes, and Mustangs lose value rather quick. Not the case in a 250 mile radius around me (on cars/autotrader search). I've been tracking the value of my '15 GT more so than Ecoboost models - same situation not surprising, but I knew that going in w/ the purchase. If you can get the GT, it definitely is an amazing value for a V8.I haven't seen that at all, I've been seeing stupid high resale asks on used mustangs. you lose 20% right off the bat, pretty much regardless of car. we're looking at 2MY old cars, which is the steepest part of the depreciation curve. and it has to be that way, for the reason written above: lots of people would rather pay the extra couple thousand for a new car with no miles.Yes, and Mustangs lose value rather quick. Saw a 2016 Ecoboost Premium Mustang with an automatic regularly priced at $33,580 discounted to $26,216 with an additional $1000 cash offer. Is this a good deal and would you jump on this?
I know, but it is for my wife. A V8 all the way if it were for me.
yep, I think on paper the 4 cyl mustang is a winner, best of all worlds imo. never driven it though, so really can't say how it performs in the real world. I'd also take this over the camaro any day style-wise!I'm actually a huge fan of the new Ecoboost. It's way fun to drive, moreso than even the V6. Obviously a V8 would be awesome, but 31mpg is no joke either, plus it hauls!
