Is this a good deal on a monitor?

Hello friends,

I hope you are doing well. I am in the market to buy a monitor to connect to my NVR (network video recorder) to which my IP surveillance cameras at home are connected. This is for home use only.

I will rarely use the monitor, but want to have one in case I need it for programming etc. I am told it is easier to do it with a monitor connected directly to the NVR than through remote platforms.

I was wondering if this monitor is a good buy, especially as it will rarely be used.

Lenovo - LI2364d 23" IPS LED HD Monitor

$90 plus tax

1920 x 1080 resolution at 75Hz
Delivers crystal-clear picture quality with stunning detail.

7 ms response time
Helps prevent blurring, ghosting and streaking during intense action sequences in video games and movies.

23" widescreen flat-panel IPS LED monitor
Provides a large viewing area and clear images.

HDMI and VGA inputs
Enable you to connect both digital and analog devices.

178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles
Ensure a clear view of the monitor from multiple vantage points.

3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (1000:1 typical)
Provides a high number of shades between black and white for accurate color reproduction when displaying images with extreme differences between light and dark.

250 cd/m² brightness
For a highly visible display and crisp on-screen images.

Is this a good price point for these specifications?

Can I get monitors at a lower price than this, I am ok with used or new? The brand does not really matter, as it will rarely be used, but I do not want a unit which is not durable.

Any suggestions please?

Thank you very much,

If its just going to be used for ip camera monitoring, anything should work fine. Now depending on the quality of the image and how many you have up (do you want 4 each shown in a corner? Or 6, 3 top/bottom?) You might want to go for a larger 4k monitor to show each... but dunno anything should work fine. Just make sure it has the right port, this one has HDMI and VGA, does the NVR use DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI or VGA?
