I'm selling my desktop system to my brother and I need to buy laptop before I leave for Japan Feb 6

I dont like it, I would go for a dell 4100(simply because its lighter) skip on the UXGA and go for SXGA, it doesnt offer your radeon but gaming on a laptop isnt that good, a mobility radeon is a decent one and the geforce 2 go may be worth the 90ish upgrade, thats your choice. I think its a bit cheaper too, but trust me weight is important.

Have you seen the recent radeon mobility 7500 benchmarks? They smoke the geforce 2go.
It scored 3900 in 3dmark2001. I agree that lighter is very important, but if I could bring my present desktop oversees i wouldnt be buying a laptop.

I agree, but Dell is forcing you to shell out alot more cash for a stupid upgrade. What can i do? I wish I could wait a couple more months! I'm not sure any more

Should I spend an extra $150 and upgrade the processor from a 1.0 to 1.13ghz?
Or even $300 and upgrade to a 1.2 ghz.

Looks like a good laptop. They're catching up to desktops now. I wouldn't spend the extra money for the cpu upgrade unless you have extra money to burn(it looks like you'll be going to Japan and I hear that it's quite costly there so I would save the $).
