I have a Samsung Syncmaster 950p, im guessin it's not the same monitor because i think i got mine $250 or something last year. Just goes to show how fast technology is progressing :Q, anyways, I love my monitor, although it is on the huge side.

The 950B only does 16x12 at 66 hz.... not enough for me.... but to each his own......
Also it's not AG, either.

I dont think i'll be doing 16*12, so hoepfully 80hz@12*10 should be enough

SyncMaster 950b was supposed to be the replacement of SyncMaster 950p but the two products are not truly equal. 950b does have lower resolution running 16x12@65Hz while 950p I think go up to 76Hz... If you dont plan to run 1600x1200 then you should be fine but if you do plan to run that mode, then you better off with the NF series or IFT series...

Neither buy the Samsung SyncMaster 955DF ... since you live in the lower 48 US states you could probably get a hot deal with free shipping, coupons, rebates, etc.

Hey Rossman
Is there any other reason you are suggesting this other than the fact that it has 0.20-millimeter horizontal dot pitch.
Details here.

I'm just suggesting it because it's the best bang for your buck 19" that I'm aware of, the 0.20 dot pitch is nice though.

hmm
955df has:
The good: Low price; optional USB hub available; excellent display controls.
The bad: Middling display quality; low refresh rate at highest resolution.
The bottom line: This solid, reasonably priced, 19-inch flat-screen monitor offers satisfactory display quality for mainstream users.

I have an Envision 17" (710e) that my GF got me for Christmas, from Staples. I think she paid $30 for it after the $100 rebate and the $30 off $150 coupon she found at the Staples site. I'm pretty darned pleased with it -kd5-
