Nobody has pointed out the fact that this thing is 8 pounds, 8 POUNDS!?!? You might as well just carry around a desktop....

the lappy is ok, a desktop replacement alright, but 250 rebate kinda kills the deal. I don't have that much extra money to gamble.

No offense, but I always find comments like this somewhat amusing. 8 pounds is really not that much, especially in relation to a desktop. It may be on the heavy end when compared to these ultra portables that weigh 2-3 pounds, but over all.....I don't think it's that heavy.

Aside from that, specs say P4...nothing about mobile.

I have a 5 pound laptop and when I lug it around for a while, it feels like a ton. I can only imagine what an 8 pound laptop would feel like. I'm not thread crapping or anything, but 8 pounds is really heavy for a laptop (and clearly the desktop reference was a joke - ever heard of a little thing called sarcasm?)

Ok it is a desktop replacement not a portable laptop, so it will be heavy. We bought the same processor with same Hard drive and memory for $799 on Black friday.
