Question Is this a motherboard issue?

Hi all. Just completed a new build a few days ago. Motherboard is a Gigabyte X670 Auros Elite AX. Case is a Cooler Master Masterbox MB600L. On completing build everything was in order apart from 1 of the front USB ports on the case wasn't working. There are two ports and they connect to the motherboard with one cable. Everything is USB 3. So I figured the case was faulty. Even Cooler Master said return it to supplier. So, I got the new case. A load of grief swapping everything over, only to find that the same USB port isn't working. There isn't anything ado in the BIOS (I am on version F.5 but I don't think that is an issue, is it?) I have tried deleting all the USB Host Controllers in Device Manager but the problem persists. No damaged pins by the way. Any ideas? Am waiting to hear from Gigabyte but any advice much appreciated. USB ports / headers are old news at this point and should just work when plugged into each other. Now, since the same problem followed between cases I would pin this on the MOBO and switch boards if it's really that important. Otherwise get a USB hub and call it a day.

For me though I wanted the highest USB-C speed and went with a board that has a 20gbps 2x2 header and just hooking that up to a case that has a C port worked just fine. Now, if they would make boards w/ headers that pass TB to the front ports that would be a game changer vs dealing with Apple.
