With all due respect, I think you should take it off the oven. Deals that are too good to be true, are. Especially when it comes to PC hardware. You pay for the nice stuff.Originally posted by: ciwell
Thanks for the more in-depth responses. It is true I am on a budget and am looking for a quality PSU for under $100. I will put the Aspire consideration on the far back burner for now.
I have an aspire psu and it has been nothing bet great. Have not had ahy problems and runs my 6800gt fine. Would reccommend.
And just because it may not be working for you does not make it a bad PSU.Originally posted by: KoolDrew

Just because it may be working for you does not make it a good PSU. THere are much better options.

I find it funny, that my Raidmax which everybody on this forum deems as crap, yet only rated at 350w ran my 9800XT (not mine but borrowed from a friend), 4 hard drives, two opticals, my 3 case fans and lights, and my A64 setup. All of this...and my $100 400w antec couldn't do the job. Did I mention the raidmax has been in THREE different computers now?
I'm on an OCZ now to prepare for the future now that my 450w true POS died.

99% of cases in PSU shopping you get what you pay for.People here think that you have to pay the most money to get quality and that is almost never true.
Alright, I am convinced...the Aspire is off the oven. That PSU guide is a good read and I think I will go for this one...good choice?

Exactly. You are not going to find a truely high end quality PSU unless you spend ~$100. For that price point i would highly recommend Seasonic.
PC Power and Cooling, Zippy, and, OCZ are all out of his league as all are well over $100.
You should look at Seasonic, Enermax, and Antec for that price point. Tagan is also a bit more expensive.
