I saw similar pricing for a Shoebuy.com "Private Event" (sale). Most of the Invicta watches showed a regular price in the $400-600 range. But the 80-90% off sale brought them down to $30-100.

They have some nice pieces at those prices.

IMO, they all look plain ugly... and dorky.

I like classy looking watches- the ones that look great with a suit or with business casual.

This is mine at $550. I can't believe OP's plasticy cheap looking watch is same price.

I think metal bands are so 90's and tacky now. Leather is coming back.

I also have a $60 fossil watch that are more 'every day'.

I'm against spending on brand names myself. Yes I do agree most of the money goes to the name, although quality does go with it.

But I like nice things here and there (don't we all?). I wear $30 glasses from Zenni, and my shoes are from Walmart. But I love this particular watch. It's damn sexy, elegant, and professional looking. I get lots of compliments for it too.

I don't blame your comment. I'd probably say the same shit to others splurging on their own little vices.

Never did get the "expensive watch" mindset.

It'd be pretty ridiculous for me to buy a $500 (or even $100) watch, considering I'll end up destroying it in a couple months. I go for the $30 Wal-Mart watches. My current watch was a $30 Wal-Mart watch, and the band has been replaced 3 times, the pins twice, it has no glass anymore, and the digital center is dead due to immersion, but it still keeps mostly accurate time. It loses 5 minutes or so every couple of days.

My brother had one of those a few years ago, it was pretty cool, but it stopped working, not sure if it was just a battery hog or something else.

Speakers are like that, too.

You go to the manufacturer's website, say Polk, and you see an MSRP of maybe $350 for a speaker, that can only ever be found for ~$100-150 at all retailers, with the "savings" listed off the MSRP.
