The blade width of the grass or weed pic is just about 1-2mm.
Kikuyu weed is much, much larger. The leaf is just a bit narrower than St. Augustine, probably 6mm/0.25in
I'm thinking of reseeding the lawn with Scotts Sun and Shade seeds, which contains some blugrass. So if the grass/weed is bluegrass, I don't have to pull/kill it.
Regarding the virtue of this Kikuyu weed, there is absolutely none. It grows too fast, it grows too high, it needs a lot of water and it retains too much water underground so there are a lot of ants reside there.
Kikuyu not only spread by stolen, but rhizomes too, and it has very thick thatch.
