Will the Samsung do 16x12 at that refresh rate or higher? My 19" MAG will only do 16x12 @ 66Hz, although you can push it to 70Hz if you adjust the horizontal centering a bit, and deal with a tiny bit more blurry text.

Too bad that they don't make monitors with dual CRT guns that could scan twice as fast. I suspect that convergence would be a problem, along with the deflection coils for two sets of guns, if that is even possible.

I purchased this monitor a couple months ago from esystor. It seems pretty good and it's not really an "el cheapo" monitor (used to be apart of Hynix). I use 1280 x 1024 at 100 hz. I used to have a samsung syncmaster 700s, and this new monitor easily beats that monitor for quality and ease of use. It's pretty hard to say if the Samsung 19" is a better monitor than this one as there are no reviews for this monitor.

As for Esystor, i had no problems ordering. I received it a week after my credit card was billed.

A better samsung 19" CRT is the 900NF. This has a refresh 1200x1600 @ 75Hz I believe

If i were you guys I would call CDW www.cdw.com and order the Compaq P900 for 191+shipping. Its a Trinitron monitor and can do 1600x1200@85hz and i think goes up to 1920x.... for its max resolution. It also comes with a 3 year onsite warranty.
