Although I have never used the ISP, I will say that it is usually a bad idea to sign a service-contract for a full year, especially when dealing with an unknown ISP. It ties you down and its easy to get screwed on these type of deals. It lets the company know they have you for at least a year and so they care little about any problems you experience. Also, you never know what your options will look like 6 months from now. Maybe Cable/DSL will be offering deals somewhat like this. I guess if you know you'll be in the same spot all year and can verify that the ISP is at least respectable, your saving yourself some money. Remember if a deal sounds too good to be true, there is usually a catch. Just my two cents...hopefully someone who actually uses the ISP can give you their thoughts.
