I got this drive in Dell 4100.
Not sure about exact model number though.
I have absolutely no problems in copying/creating/cloning.

Get a Plextor! It's cheaper to spend more money on these devices. you don't want to pinch pennies when you want dependable backup of valuable information. There are plenty of places you can be cheap and get away with it. This is NOT one of them.

there is no doubt this drive is worse than plextor, since plextor crushes everything... but i been hearing good things about lg burners too, i thought 30bux difference at the same writing speed could be bit significant for some people..

Go plextor. I was going to get a Plextor until I picked up the Sony 12x8x32 drive at CompUSA. You might want to consider the Sony deal...

i myself own a plextor and i can vouch that i've never had a problem with it. I have a 2940UW adaptec scsi card and a 4 gig scsi ibm hard drive that i bought just so i could burn from it. Now i can play quake 3 and burn at max speed without any coasters. =)

yeah I love the Plextors... I just sold my 12x10x32 cause I need a little extra money and wanted to downgrade a little. So I am ending up getting a Plextor 8x4x32 from Staples for $140 and a little change after a pricematch and a couple coupons.
