so the streets are clean...its a new place! Notice all the details that a person making a CG image would not have bothered to throw in, such as the random objects that can be seen under the bushes. Also notice that this person has more pictures of the same area....

this is obviously a newly constructed area...and its not a divided highway the people in this thread have said it is a bus only lane

and why would they make more than one image of this boring scene?

If youve ever played any computer games youd know that the OP post is 100% CG. Just look at the edge of the bus and you can tell.

Its also obvious that the tree is fake, and the pic would need a lot more anti ailaising to be believable.

why then is there more than one photo of the area? How do you know that the artifacts you are seeing aren't caused by resizing of the picture.

the leaves of the tree are badly out of focus, while the buses behind the tree are in perfect focus. same with the bushes and the fire hydrant. plus the water on the empty road is too reflective.

I'd like to know the name of the computer game you play that has rendered graphics comparable to this scene.

It is amusing how many people believe this to be fake when it is clearly an ordinary street scene taken on the west side highway of Manhattan. The photo appears to be slightly over-saturated but that is pretty common coming from a consumer digital camera. That is the only thing I notice.

I went to take a pic today, but all of West St by the park is under construction and I couldn't get to the bike path where it was taken because they're currently tearing it up. This picture is still 100% real though, and if you think it isn't, well...let's just say since we have a new "culture" here, I can't say what I truly think of you.

The pic is very real. It's a block down from my office on West St and Battery Park. My co-worker used to live there.


Edit: To the people that think the road is too clean, it's brand new. That areas been chopped up for some time now.
