Is this possible with a multi display setup?

Using 970 GTX FTW...

Display 1: 24", 1920 x 1080 monitor
Display 2: Marantz 720p projector. It can do 1024 x 720 or 1024 x 768, etc...

I want to display the same real-time image on both displays. Can I have BOTH displays outputting their native resolutions while playing a flight simulator?

Is this possible, or am I stuck with running the monitor at the "low" 1024 x 768?

Which flight simulator? I highly recommend some reading into SoftTH, it might accomplish what you want.

I've used it on an older NVidia video card and it worked great for mutli-screen at custom resolutions, for any number of screens including just 2.

Check here, but they also have a forum with lots of user input on various games. Hoping your flight simulator is used by someone already who set it up and you could just copy their config file, although editing your own config file is no biggie:

Thanks so much for the lead... It was definitely NOT what I was expecting... I was assuming it was NOT possible... Looks like a cool solution though it will need another video card which make sense - Single card creates the pixels in one resolution and 2nd card dumps the pixels in a lower resolution.

It looks like AMD has already added this capability natively but Nvidia has not. Perhaps on a later driver update?

Sorry, forgot to answer the "flight simulator" question. I bias towards "study" sims (and not survey/games type simulators).

Primarily will be the DCS series for modern, high performance military jets and helicopters, and IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad (BOS) for WWII simulation. BOS can be made to run as a "serious simulation" with a very hi fidelity core (great flight models, damage models etc) unlike something like War Thunder which is the fisher-price version that is a "game". I'll also be simulating with P3D which is Lockheed Martin's vastly improved version of Microsoft's FSX that MS is no longer supporting. P3D can be used for actual flight training for Cessnas to 747s and has some great addons of real airport scenery, etc...

All 3 simulations above can provide enough flying experience for a lifetime... Flying is my passion and I've got a pretty hardcore setup with ~$1k worth of supporting Hardware peripherals to get a great experience. (Warthog HOTAS with upgrades, Mfg Crosswind Rudders Pedals, TIR5, Buttkicker, etc...)
