The scammer's already moved on to new eBay handles. Going by the account of the last seller in the chain before the items were sold to legit buyers, they cleared well over $10,000 this round.

Despite the fact that the seller(s?) has/have been reported a number of times, don't you think that eBay, at a minimum, would have temporarily locked their accounts or shut down their auctions? PayPal has a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later like a bunch of paranoid Gestapo agents; I've only seen eBay do it once personally, but I wouldn't put it past them.

That being said, is it really that far fetched that the guy is just stupid or something? Or maybe that he has capital to blow in order to inflate his feedback aggressively in a hurry for some other possibly nefarious purpose? Heck, maybe he's just trying to inflate the revenue of his company while taking losses in order to push past a certain plateau for whatever purpose... I'll scan the "Newegg" invoice once I get it and post it here, to look for discrepancies. Maybe he's just faking the NE paperwork too, to help posture himself and his accounts quickly?

Either way, I've got my two on the way. I'm more than happy to (anonymously) contact HIS once I've got the serial numbers to see if they "fell off a truck" somewhere. PayPal and eBay for that matter too - I'm a Premier member, that should give me a little sway in terms of getting a refund.

I bought from this same guy. I usually resell them for like $20-$30 more and they sell. My items also came in a newegg box with paperwork. He has like 4 accounts, they all start with seller.<name>.

Another thing I would like to add, there ebay/paypal accounts are not locked. They sell all they have in less than 2 weeks. They restock a couple weeks later. I knew that was a scam, I kinda didnt help the situation, but I got my items

I just wanted to add to this thread after making yet another suspiciously cheap ebay purchase that was drop shipped from newegg, a
HD6850 for $138 shipped..........last month I ordered G19 from ebay for for over $40 cheaper than newegg sells it, drop shipped from newegg and they sent me 2 of them!!!! by the time i tried to contact the seller about it he was long gone and all traces of the transaction were removed from my ebay page.

I would suspect that this situation is some type of scam just by looking over the packing slips i recived for my two G19 keyboards, small spelling mistakes in the sellers name on each packing slip, second one was same name but with a added initial in the name most likely to generate two different newegg accounts. Unless this is newegg selling items below retail with the "rebate" factored in or a newegg employee it's got to be a scam.

It sounds more like someone is using someone else's credit card in order to sell stuff on ebay. You pay via paypal, seller collects money, seller uses stolen credit card number to purchase and send item.

I will say this last purchase I made looks much more legit, the sellers ebay account is a variation of their real name that was used to purchase the item per the newegg packing slip and they have been on ebay for about 6 months. Also the price comes in at only about $18 cheaper than it is on newegg AFTER the the shipping fee AND the rebate; which I can not send in as i have no invoice only a packing slip.
