Any good waiver wire pickups this week? Andre Brown is taken.

At RB not many new faces. You could pick up Mark Ingram but I don't expect him to be a reliable start anytime soon. Other guys include: Donald Brown, Shane Vereen, Rashad Jennings, Jaquizz Rodgers. It's getting tougher and tougher to find prospect RBs off the wire, most of what I see are just handcuffs.

At WR you could take a gamble with Tavon Austin but I think its a one hit wonder with him, I prefer Chris Givens rest of the season. Doug Baldwin, Riley Cooper, Aaron Dobson, Nate Burleson and Jericho Cotchery, Santonio Holmes

Tight End: Timothy Wright, John Carlson, Tyler Eifert

Also keep an eye on Jason Cambell. He is flying the under the radar but has had 2 solid games against what were supposed to be tough matchups.

What's crazy is that a team in one of my leagues actually started Mark Ingram this week

My Weapon X for the next couple of weeks will be Case Keenum at home against OAK and JAX. Jake Locker turned out to be a real bust, injuries are the most annoying part of FF.

It was great seeing Tavon Austin finally get to use his jets this week and burn Indy. Indy is getting accolades as one of the worst coached teams in football right now, with Pep saying they need to run the ball more after the game. I feel bad for Luck and any Colt player owners.

A.Brown looked great despite the Giants incredibly horrid run blocking, per PFF:
It would be a mistake to look at the yardage Andre Brown put up and think the Giants remembered how to run block, because nothing could be further from the truth. In fact only Brown making some nice cuts to exploit unintended holes saved the unit from even poorer run blocking grades. Of Brown’s 115 yards, 55 of them came after contact and he consistently dragged Raiders defenders for a few yards before allowing them to bring him down. For a player to have come back from the kind of injury list as he has had and perform like this is something remarkable, and this was one of the better pure running performances you will see all year. About the only help he did get in the run game was from his lead blocker, John Connor, who blocked well all game.
The Giants have favorable Run D matchups in the last two games of FF and an ok matchup next week against Green Bay. Clay Matthews in his return wasn't effective against Philly although they have a much better OLine than NYG; I'd expect more resistance from GB than what we saw this week against Philly.

Dennis Johnson didn't do much as we expected but will have a much better matchup next week to take on Oakland (who roto claims is a tough run D lol). He and Tate should shred them if Keenum doesn't do it first.

The bloodbath in New Orleans was simply amazing, with Ingram/Pierre Thomas both going over 20 and Sproles over 15. It's rare for 2 RBs to go off let alone 3.

A friend of mine was playing the first place guy in our league and asked for help: start Romo or Dalton? Both had tough matchups but I told him Dalton since he would be forced to pass (51 times to be exact!) more against a lower graded secondary and it would minimize more risk (he also had T.Williams, opponent had Marvin Jones). Both QBs had shitty days but Dalton's hail mary TD sealed the win for him against our #1.

Ankle injury to Mike James blows. He was looking awesome on that first drive.

Gruden keeps referring to Tannehill as "Tannyhill."

drives me nuts

I wish he would take a head coaching job just so he isn't an announcer on MNF...I don't watch the games anymore unless it is a REALLY good match up simply because he is a giant DOUCHE to listen to.

That figures. I'd be in the money chase if our league had a prize for "most RBs on a team injured in a single season."

Yeah, in my other league I picked up Mike James, the RB curse has hit my team this year with Rice and Richardson as 1st rounders. Waiting for Moreno or McCoy to go down next.

Rainey and Leonard both looked decent tonight, will be interesting to see if Schiano favors Rutgers alum Leonard over Rainey after the TD. Leonard will probably still be the passing down back (in the least), since his pass blocking and receiving are both above average.

Need some help with a trade. This is my team
QB Nick Foles, Phi QB
RB Frank Gore, SF RB
RB Pierre Thomas, NO RB
WR Danny Amendola, NE WR
WR Riley Cooper, Phi WR
TE Greg Olsen, Car TE
FLEX Hakeem Nicks, NYG WR
D/ST Cardinals D/ST
K Steven Hauschka, Sea K

Bench Aaron Rodgers*, GB QB
Bench Stevan Ridley, NE RB
Bench Stephen Gostkowski, NE K
Bench Coby Fleener, Ind TE
Bench Terrance Williams, Dal WR
Bench Kenny Stills, NO WR

Someone wants Cooper and Gostkowski. Not sure if I want to give up Gostkowski as he is a consistent scorer, but would be willing to give up Hauschka (picked him up as a bye week fill in for Gost). Also seems Cooper is on fire now...connecting with Foles nicely! Probably why he wants him.

This is this other person's team:
QB Russell Wilson, Sea QB
RB Eddie Lacy, GB RB
RB Andre Brown, NYG RB
WR Demaryius Thomas, Den WR
WR Harry Douglas, Atl WR
TE Jordan Reed, Wsh TE
FLEX Steve Johnson, Buf WR
D/ST Seahawks D/ST
K Adam Vinatieri, Ind K

Bench Jamaal Charles, KC RB
Bench Rob Gronkowski, NE TE
Bench Darren Sproles, NO RB
Bench Joe Flacco, Bal QB
Bench Jarrett Boykin, GB WR
Bench Chris Ivory, NYJ RB

Who would be a good trade for Cooper and Gostkowski/Hauschka? Thinking about asking for Lacy and Gronk...

Thoughts?

You can try, he's desperate for a WR. A straight cooper for Reed would be ok as well.

Although looking at your tear you're weak at WR as well so should hold onto cooper.

This. I'd keep Cooper. But, FWIW, Hauschka is the #1 kicker in many scoring formats.

I have Russell Wilson as a starting QB and he has a bye next week. Should I drop Trent Richardson and pick up Nick Foles?

My other RBs are Chris Johnson, Eddie Lacy, and Zac Stacy.

Thoughts?

If he gives you Gronk and Lacy for that, then he clearly doesn't know what he's doing. I have a feeling that offer would get shot down, but hey, you never know if you don't ask.

I also agree with Imported that I'd keep Hauschka and offer Gostkowski. Rarely will you ever get good value in trade for kickers, but you hold the two who would be exceptions to that rule. Especially considering he has Vinateri.

The more I look at your WR's, the more I think you should ask for D. Thomas.

He's got a great mind to analyze the game, but I agree that sometimes he just makes some stupid commentary. Last night, for instance, in the early part of the game Grimes basically boxes out Vincent Jackson and doesn't allow him to even attempt to try and get back to catch the call. DPI is called and Gruden's comment is something like "That's PI? I don't even get what PI is," in a condescending tone.

Gruden is awful. I find most of the guys who call games to be terrible actually.

I am totally buying the Rishard Matthews hype. Tannehill loves throwing to his slot guys and it showed yesterday. Matthews is a must pickup in all leagues (especially in ppr).

I also don't get why everyone is ignoring Jason Campbell. 2 games, 250+ yards in each game, 5 TDs, ZERO interceptions against "bad" matchups. If you need a QB I would think he is at least worth a stash.

Yeah that is what everyone is assuming with those two. Watching the game I actually liked both of them, yeah Leonard had a bad YPC but I still think he has potential and you gotta factor in the Mike James injury situation. If anyone is desperate at RB this week you gotta look at Leonard & Rainey, the Atlanta matchup this week is fantastic.

On a separate note I feel really bad about what happened to Mike James. The kid was looking great and a stupid injury could potentially end his NFL career, talk about bad luck.
