its hard to fight when your pregnant. historically...no control over family planning, malnurished and further weakened by calcium leeching of bones through multiple child births, many dying in labor.

wasn't all that advantageous to send women off to war anyways if you could help it. man dies the population can recover relatively quickly. women start getting killed and you got problems.

I think you should try it first, in a small room, add some hot coals and seal the room off to be safe.

its because of child rearing. because people didnt understand the correlation between sex and babies, women were always either pregnant of nursing infants. meanwhile, the men were off conquering the world. were only now beginning to even things out.
