my package is missing and they are still doing an 'investigation to see if it can be recovered and delivered to me' obviously this is just BS my package was stolen and probably resold a bunch of times by now.

how long will this investigation take? What are they trying to prove/find out?

That's what all the delivery companies (post office included) will do at my mother's house, although here at my apartment, they actually wait until I answer the door. I've only ever had a package left at my door once, and I believe it was by FedEx.

If signature is not required, I dont see why they should wait around. I've never had them leave a package where sig was required

My Ups guy is an older gent, so he takes his time and talks for a few minutes before leaving. Only problem is he never arrives before 6-7 pm =(
