Not more then 15 minutes ago i heard a knocking my door.
I went to go get it only to see the UPS guy running down my driveway back to his truck.

Is this a new thing?

Yea that's all they do here now. They're quick too, often all the way back to the truck before I can get the door open.

I rarely see them even when I'm home and go to the door right as they knock. Part of me doesn't mind since it means they don't give a shit about getting a signature in case I'm not home, and part of me minds for the same reason in case any old asshole on the street just stole my stuff.

That's all they do here now. Everytime I open the door to get the package, I see the UPS driver running back to his truck.

They're like ninjas. Given the size of the UPS men its amazing that they can haul ass back to their truck and down the street in the time it takes me to get to my door.

This happened to me with FedEx ground 3 years ago. With my got my ATOT secret santa gift, the fed ex person rung my door bell, quickly gave me the package and darted back to the truck. This happened in 30 seconds time. By the time she started accelerating away, I kind of shook the package a little and could hear what sounded like something was in pieces. I opened it and sadly found that my gift was a set of cups. One was broken into several pieces and the other stood alone in sadness knowing it would forever be alone.

I didn't even get the knock (and I was home) when my shiitty kmart present came from my mom. You at least got a knock saying come get it before it rains.

They always do that. They will usually ring the doorbell or knock before taking off back down the driveway. UNLESS they're delivering a box that looks like hell, in which case they'll leave it without a sound like a freaking ninja.

Goddamn you might be onto something. Just remember follow them around until they get to a rich neighborhood and your chances of getting high quality stuff dramatically increases.

If your into nascar follow them into a trailer park.

Hey atleast you aren't having to run along side the truck while the package is tossed to you !

I understand that didn't go over well at the last cost saving meetings.

Time management, waiting would never get the job done. Most routes average 200+ stops per day with am 8-9 hour time frame plus business pickups.

My UPS guy started backing his truck down my drive way and THROWING packages out of the truck onto my front lawn. Pisses me off because I have to get dressed to walk outside to grab my packages opposed to opening the front door. Also, no indication such as a knock that the package has been delivered. If I am working in my home office, I don't plan on either refreshing the tracking info every minute or looking outside for a package on my front lawn.

FedEx FTW.

lets send each other things via UPS and time it to arrive on saturday or something then we'll all hide in the bushes and jump out before they even press the doorbell, grab the package and run into the house, or away or something.

edit: wait... do they deliver on saturday?

I prefer fedex to UPS as well. They're almost always cheaper, and the service is better, too.

Wow, come to think of it my UPS guy is like a ninja too! He used to wait but ever since the December holiday season all I see is the edge of his jacket as he hops back in the truck and blasts off :Q

Although I do have a cool UPS guy  My Fedex guy never talks to me. I like the DHL guy too because he's into Macs, but they always damage my shipments so I don't see him much

At least they KNOCK on our door. I'll sit home all night and then magically my package shows up at some point.
