That seems super safe.the OPs pictured doesn't even qualify as snow here
this was thursday
There was a dusting of snow on my car this morning, I should have called in sick!
The counter to this is that when I lived in upstate New York the high got up to 95 and people called in because it was too hot.
I just call a spade a spade. If a company is telling you that driving in unsafe conditions is more important to them than your safety, that's a shitty company.
There are many parts of the world where it regularly snows far more than in that photo, and it's not like work comes to a standstill in those places when it does.
Yeah I realize that. Those places have all the tools and equipment for that shit. When we had 3 feet of snow last year a plow didn't come down my street for about 5 days. If that happens up in Canada they probably are plowed out in a day. There are many parts of the world where it regularly snows far more than in that photo, and it's not like work comes to a standstill in those places when it does.
yeah, but in those places it all depends on the infrastructure of the city to handle the snow. Some towns just don't have the plows and salt and people to deal with even a moderate storm. It's not like businesses from one city to another make up their weather work policy in a vacuum.
plows are for the weak. if you can't drive in snow you don't belong where it snows.Yeah I realize that. Those places have all the tools and equipment for that shit. Guess what my boss and HR said to me today in regards to getting to work despite the 9" of snow we got and hundreds of school closings?
Nothing because I went to work
If you live in an area that snows, buy the appropriate vehicle. And have separate, winter tires mounted on rims for winter.
I lived in Tahoe up a very steep hill and drove a 66 Mustang. With a bunch of weight in the trunk. Sometimes had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up. My next snow vehicle was much better. F250 4X4 PSD with great winter tires and weight in the bed. That thing would go through 3 foot snow banks and probably climb trees.
It snows in So Cal.If this happened in So Cal, no one would leave their house.
