Sounds like good business to me! BTW, I voted for Tom's Hardware because they tend to cover items more interesting to me. I would trust AT more though, since THG seems a little biased at times.

If this is OT let the mods move it to OT, rather then fill it full of "in before..." etc.

no. tom isn't better by any means. pretty much everything i've boughten at his recommendation has been a mistake. and the mistakes have been painful at times. he does review things once and does a fair job of it. but he disregaurds price and product support after the article is written. often things he rates as top notch aren't going to do that well later on.

oh, forgot the hot deal part. The "hot deal" is a good place to read reviews of hardware before you buy it. I think one of the best places is the hardware forums at amdmb.com.

I did my part, I voted for Anandtech at least 3 times in the past few weeks. I like the forums at Anandtech, BUT Anandtech just does not do very many reviews. The quality of reviews is good, there just is not many of them.

Thanks Killa, you did good. And instead of giving you a bunch of sarcasm for trying, I'd like to wish you a merry Christmas.

I think the mods are thinking the same thing that's why they still haven't locked this. For the tech review part, I voted for Tom but the forum here is better.

I don't think that is why this forum is here. Show me the hot deal.

Why isn't CNET first? IMO they're good, just a wider range of products.

The thing with sites like CNET and ZDNET is that they take the computer to be one part. You don't get objective reviews of this video card. vs that one or this hard drive vs. that one if they're comparing entire systems from Dell, Gateway, VoodooPC, etc. They're good for other peripherals like printers and scanners, yes, but they suck for individual parts that we like to buy (mobos, ram, CPUs, etc).

Umm yeah nordlaw, encourage people to post where it doesn't clearly belong

From nordlaw posting in OT:

Results after my vote:

Anandtech: 30.31% 23006 votes
Tomshardware: 32.47% 24641 votes

Somebody willing to post in Hot Deals and take a beating?

One of you more senior members, perhaps?

I'd like to see us win this.
