The reason I ask is that I am sure blacks take offense to N*gger because it has serious historic significance - a relic of slavery and deep-rooted racism. Cr*cka doesn't seem to have a severe connotation so I'm guessing blacks may use it without knowing that people are genuinely offended by the term.

It doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me is the double standard.
Btw, to respond to an honest question with an honest question if the n word is so deeply disturbing for Black people why do they use it amongst themselves? I mean, I don't see Jewish people tossing around Holocaust jokes. I realize that the scale of the tradgedy is different of course but they're still both hurtful things.
