I was just about to reply with my experience with the same park. There is too much New York influence and way too many thugs. There was non-stop line cutting and when you called them out on it they cried racism.

I have never experienced that at Great Adventure.. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

I only go to Six Flags on Company Day, when a couple of companies rent out the entire park for our own use.

I can't image mingling with the general crowd in a place like this. Sea World San Antonio was pretty bad on a regular day.

Six Flags in Denver sucked when they owned it for a few years. It was so bad that they was going to turn it into apartment buildings.

I go to Six Flags in NJ probably twice every three years. I was supposed to go tomorrow, in fact, but I'm sick. I can't recall any serious line cutting by "thugs." Sure, some kids might cut every once in a while but it takes more than three people jumping the line to make me upset. It's no country club, but I wouldn't call it a ghetto either.

I've had worse experiences at Dorney Park in Allentown. Cutting is much more frequent there and I once witnessed a couple having sex in the wave pool.

I was at 6 flags in NJ 4-5 years ago and I don't remember it being that bad. 6 flags also declared chap 11 bankrupty 3 days ago. They're going to remain open while restructuring their dedt. Where this growing debt came from beats me.

My only complaint is that you would spend 50-60 dollars for admission and the park would be so packed near or on the week end you could only get on 2-3 rides. 2 hours in que in 90 degree heat and a blazing sun was not fun. The roller coasters were always braking down too. The Kingda Ka and the Superman broke down at least once an hour.

Dirty Jersey My boyfriend is from New Jersey. I still enjoy going to Six Flags Great Adventure, I just find that like Wednesdays and days with an overcast there are less dumb people there.

This is my experience as well..

Last time I went to Great America, it was on a Wednesday. We still waited in line for 5 hours, and didnt get on one ride.
(both rides ended up breaking before we got on)

Fought with the park manager for 30min to get a refund, he kept trying to give us free passes.

I haven't been back since.
