Do you guys seriously not know why?

Think about it. You can get a summer pass for a child for as cheap as $50. That covers the WHOLE summer. So crappy parents go and buy those passes for their little brats. Drop them off every single day. They get free daycare for their kids for $50/summer. You won't find a better deal than that.

Instead of sending your kids to camp while out of school for the summer, what is cheaper than $50?

Unfortunately, you're kind of right. I work at an amusement part (not Six Flags) and I see it all the time. Parents buy a season pass for like $75, bring their kids and a packed lunch every day, or have someone else bring their kids.

I know for a fact that is what happens in Atlanta at Six Flags and in Charlotte for Carowinds.

Is that even acceptable? Dropping your kids off for the day at an amusement park? Seems like the rules of the park would require minors to be there with an adult, at least up to a certain age.

http://www.sixflags.com/greatAmerica/info/policies.aspx

There are the park policies. Even if they had a policy like that then the parent gets a pass and escorts the children in and proceeds to leave. It wouldn't change anything.

it's no longer an amusement park for little kids and families. it's no wonder they're going bankrupt.

You just explained NJ in general.

Cedar Point is by far the best amusement park I've been to. Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is pretty nice too (probably due to location) and Kings Dominion isn't bad. Can't remember much about the 6 Flags I went to.

My only complaint is that you would spend 50-60 dollars for admission and the park would be so packed near or on the week end you could only get on 2-3 rides. 2 hours in que in 90 degree heat and a blazing sun was not fun. The roller coasters were always braking down too. The Kingda Ka and the Superman broke down at least once an hour.

Besides mismangement, the debt came from buying up way to many shitty theme parks and slapping on the Six Flags name. Six Flags used to have fewer parks, and they were of higher quality. Then they started buying up a lot of different parks and quality went down at each and every one of them.

Besides mismangement.
