Isiah Rider was ridiculous

Too bad he was such a head case. He made the other dunkers in the contest look silly. The best dunk is of course he between the leg jam (at 2 minutes in the video). That T'Wolves team could have been awesome with a stable Isiah, Garnett, and Starbury.

PS. The Sonics should have never changed their uniforms. They were awesome. Everything went wrong after they did that.

Maybe its NBA Jam's fault, and certainly it has to do with my age (missing out on Wilt, the heyday of Magic versus Bird, etc), but for me, I don't see the NBA ever topping about 90-95, maybe even as far as 97. That was the greatest time in the history of the sport to me. There was just something about the way that the personalities and the teams and rivalries that jelled just right. I remember the Jordan vs Bird McDonald's commercials.

Don't get me wrong, I can certainly appreciate what came before and after, but something seems lost in today's game. I really like Lebron (he never ceases to amaze both on the court and his, in my opinion, incredible maturity), and I can't think of any player (maybe Wilt) that can carry a team like he can, but I really can't follow/relate well with many of the other popular players like I could those from the early-mid nineties. There's definitely plenty of others, and even though they're getting past their prime its been great still seeing Shaq and Alonzo Mourning and some of the others from that time. I hate to say it, as it would really be quite sad, but sometimes I'd like to see Jordan, Pippen, and maybe Rodman (and there's probably others that'd join as well) make a comeback, take low pay and go play for one of the teams that are way out of the playoff race (say the Miami Heat this season).
