A part of me hopes that they don't really kill these people and that maybe its camera trickery. Here's to hoping.

"
This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube's policy against spam, scams, and commercially deceptive content." What gives?

Looks like a new uncensored youtube competitor needs to come online.

I do not understand how these beheadings are helping the cause, all they are doing is poking the dragon and they will end up like nazi Germany after invading Russia.

Why not just quietly take over cities and not poke the dragon. They are just asking to get the whole world involved.

These videos are an excellent recruiting tool. Most people are horrified by them, but they appeal to a select few which has lead to people all over the world travelling to the middle east to join ISIS.

Also, Isis's primary goal isn't to destroy the west, but to establish an Islamic state or caliphate. Basically they want to conquer and rule the middle east. They know most people who live there won't submit to ISIS by choice, so they intend to rule by fear, hence the videos. It's an approach that has worked for a lot of other dictators. They claim to have traced the ancestors of their leader back to the prophet Mohammed, making him the rightful ruler.

They know they can't intimidate governments/militaries with these videos, but they're really trying to scare the people of Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc.. Japan sends humanitarian aid, so they kill 2 random Japanese people to send a message that this is what happens to anyone who opposes ISIS.

Just wondering, why do you guys watch those videos? Isn't a simple headline about beheadings good enough? Why actually watch them?

Because people are fascinated with death. People say they are disgusted by such violence, but they like watching it. Many people in the US enjoy watching Islamist fighters being hit by American made war machines. Many young Muslim men enjoy videos of American soldiers being hit by IEDs, and now beheading of non Muslims, or Muslims not worthy to live.

If ISIS was smart like Einstein they would be killing mostly freemasons and freemason lodges would be bombed instead.

What should be done?

The world needs to form a new methodology for dealing with ISIS infected territory.

Seal off the area, cut off electricity and communications. Blockade the roads to impede travel. Wait until the starving masses surrender. Local government then gets to move in, do some fighting on remnants, and resume control.

I enjoy watching action movies, I don't enjoy watching snuff. I could possibly understand how ISIS members would like to watch these videos, but I don't understand why fellow americans would want to watch them.

If it were up to me, I would ban all news coverage in that region of that world. After awhile, nobody would give a shit and everything would be right with the world.

That would actually work. Same with the school shootings across the country. Don't turn it into a month-long media event, and the next shooter is not drawn towards the attention such acts command.

ISIS is doing crazy things because crazy things are what brings attention to them. Well, the danger of banning news coverage is it might inspire them to just get more horrific in their actions. Instead we have to some way reward the good behavior, not the bad. We have to reward what we want more of.

I watch them because I think death is part of the human experience, and by turning away and pretending stuff like this doesn't happen, we are doing ourselves no favors in understanding each other or the world around us.

Nobody said you had to watch it, and I did put a "NSFW X 10000" tag on it.

So stick your hands in your ears, close yours eyes, and yell "LALALALALALALA I CAN'T SEE YOU ISIS LALALALALALA YOU DON'T EXIST LALALLAALALALAL"?

The people who fear ISIS/ISIL and these news reports are people like you, who can be easily manipulated by your conservative "balanced" media. Fearmongers like you instill cowardice in those around you. Please keep your cowardice to yourself, not all of us wet our pants every time ISIS burns somebody alive or chops somebody's head off.

Thick as a brick...... I do not fear ISIS, I fear my government and fellow Americans' response to ISIS. I fear American intervention over there. ISIS is doing EVERYTHING in their power to drag us in and like Pavlovian's dog we appear to be taking the bait. We are so fucking predictable and pathetic. There is nothing productive we can or should do over there, it is not our business. I frankly could give a fuck who runs Iraq. Give them a caliphate, I don't care and neither should you.

Whether you realize it or not, there are certain countries in the Middle East that the US does not want to see fall. In order of importance, these countries are:

1. Saudi Arabia
2. Israel
3. Egypt
4. Jordan

If even one of these countries falls, especially saudi arabia or israel, we have serious problems. What you suggest doing is to take an isolationist stance, and leave Israel to deal with it's neighbors. That's retarded, Saudi Ariabia would quickly fall to ISIS (or more likely Iran, if we just let them go at it), Israel would subjugate Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan and probably take the Sinai back from Egypt. Iran would then have control of some 60% of the worlds proven oil reserves.... sound good to you?

ISIS is trying to drag us into a fight, but what they don't want is the airstrikes to continue. They are powerless to defend against our military and they know it, so they resort to crazy crap like burning people alive to get to us. But we can still keep bombing them. $50 Billion is chump change to the trillions the Iraq war cost us.

This just baffles me. I do not understand why the majority of Americans disagree with me about ISIS. I have appreciated Obama's muted response to ISIS. I actually wish it was even less than it already is.

Why do Americans want to go in again? Is it that easy for our news media to whip us into a blood fury by reporting in PORNOGRAPHIC detail the few acts of violence by ISIS? Why are we so easily played by our media/ISIS? Sad.

The CNN/ORC poll found 57% of Americans disapprove of how Obama is handling the threat posed by ISIS, a significant decline in support for the President over the past few months. In late September, that number was 49%.

Fifty-seven percent disapprove of his handling of foreign affairs more broadly, and 54% disapprove of how the President is handling terrorism. Another 60% rate Obama negatively on his handling of electronic national security.

Think of it this way... they're not a huge military/political force now, but are growing rapidly and gaining territory, people, and resources while they do.

Given enough of those three elements, they can quickly become a very large threat to the whole planet.

What would the world be like under their control?

...Hell would seem like a picnic.

Did you read it? Because his point follows what was said in the article you linked to. ISIS wants an end of times war and they have chosen the US as the replacement for Rome in the final battle. Their videos are created to do exactly that, to get the American public to push for a major response so that ISIS's prophecy can come true.
Drone strikes and minimal responses are about the best we can do.
