i heard on NPR the other day that this pilot was part of the largest tribe in Jordan. They were wanting to stay out of the fight until his capture but there was growing opinion that they should get him. now that they did the most savage thing a human can do to another human, ISIS may have made a bad mistake.

And if the world does what many agree feels like it should be done after something like this....kill as many isis members as possible.....all it does is encourage more people to sign up because they get pissed off about the restof the world killing isis members.

A well armed Kurd is more effective on the ground than a well armed US marine simply because they know the land, they know the language, and they have a greater attachment to the land. As long as they can call in air strikes, and have ATMG's, they could do a lot of damage to ISIS.

As far as I know, ISIS only requested the female prisoner which was part of the 2005 bombing in the capital, Amman.
We can easily expect her execution within next few days.

I for one, though highly condemn the way they used, not sad much by his death.
I hope it would ring the bell for the public and any remaining sympathizer to ISIS in Jordan or the region that it's time to realize the seriousness and dangerous level of that enemy.

ISIS is completely inhuman as usual, but I can't help but think that Jordan's response to execute the prisoner is almost as bad. You don't alter someone's sentence (especially to execution) to punish other people. That's the worst kind of collective punishment. I hoped Jordan would opt to show that they stand by some kind of principles of justice instead of this.

EDIT: Okay, apparently the woman they'll be executing was on death row to begin with, but had gotten it delayed several years on appeals. Surprised they allowed such a thing in the first place. That makes their decision to go through with the execution now seem less onerous to me.
