JERUSALEM - Elite Iranian troops helped Hezbollah fire a sophisticated radar-guided missile at an Israeli warship, Israeli officials said Saturday, describing an apparent surprise blow by militants who had been using only low-tech weapons. Iran denied that it had any troops in Lebanon. Israel initially believed that an aerial drone armed with explosives hit the warship, but it became clear that Hezbollah had used an Iranian-made C-802 missile to strike the vessel late Friday, an Israeli intelligence official said on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information.

We should all be praying for Iran at this moment. They are very foolish to have stepped into this.

Yet possibly we should be thankful they don`t have nuclear weapons yet.

I feel Iran is more of a threat to use Nuclear weapons than Israel.

I hope Iran's involvement, or lack thereof, can be irrefutably proven.

If proven to be true, well I'll just be really surprised. Given all the recent concern over Iran's nuke program, and speculation on the US or Israel taking them down, I just couldn't imagine them giving the world such a perfect excuse to roll in and kick their @sses.

To put it another way, is Iran trying to give people the excuse attack them and destroy their nuke program?

We all know there is nothing Israel would want more than to have Iran involved in this so that the USA steps in to destroy Iran. So do you think I would believe anything an Israeli official would say? I'll wait for the independent investigation thank you very much.

So your saying that since Hezbollah used a missle manufactured by Iran, Iran was involved and responsible. Does that mean that Israel's use of US-made fighter jets and helicopters in their attacks on Lebanon means the US is involved and responsible? Or does it just mean that there are many countries in the world who export weapons to many other countries (the US and Israel included) and basically the buyer is responsible for their use.

This argument is like blaming the gun manufacturers for people who go on shooting rampages in schools.

No apparantly Iran special forces were actually in Lebanon helping to actually fire the missle.

If Israel is correct, it means Iran has nuclear devices and is willing to use them. Tehran knows state sponsored terrorism cannot be kept a secret.

Plus it makes alot of sense that until now Hezbollah has not attacked anything at sea.....hmmmmmm

Yet Iran has already claimed they have surface to sea missles that could wreck havoc on the maritime lanes...hmm

The biggest disadvantage Israel has is it smallness on every level. They cant afford loosing any land which limits their tactical/strategic options and theres 10 iranians for every israeli. And you dont need to be very accurate to hit something in Israel with it being that densely populated.

But if you most explain what history has to do with the fact that a wall can be tunneled under. Also whos talking point is it that walls can be tunneled under. It is a pretty much undefuted fact.
