I wouldnt say that, I think it shows they didnt like Arafats regime.
They picked one evil over another due to spite.

However the process moves forward and hopefully Hamas will either growup and join the world of geo politics or continue to oppress their own people and eventually get the boot at the next election.

i think we should fence off a chunk of the southwest US(arizona,nevada,maybe texas) and move the entire country of Isreal inside of US borders. Ta-Da, i give you peace in the mid-east.

Nah, that won't bring peace. Other problems will occur. The far-reaching bigotry in the Middle East needs to be addressed.

Yeah, moving Israel out of the ME would just change the focus of the Palestinians' agression from Israel back to where the rest of the ME has it: their own populace.

At least he gave a very good, yet unintentional, analogy of exactly why the Palestinians feel the way they do. I have always argued that the Jews are the interlopers in this situation to a large degree and I understand the Palestinians' position yet I do not condone their methods. Unfortunately Israel is not going anywhere nor is it going to budge with a terrorist group leading Palestine. Basically all the balls are in Hamas' court and it will be interesting to see if there is peace or no more Palestine.....those are the only two options at this point.

The interesting thing to ponder is what happens if there are anymore Hamas sponsored terrorist attacks on Israel. How can there be? They would be considered an act of war and Israel would be within it's right to respond in any way it see fit and thus Palestine ceases to exist.....and I wouldn't blame them. This fact alone means that because of this election Hamas it actually painted into a corner and better change their ways and goals.

Than move? Sorry, I have no sympathy for people who attacked a country unprovoked and are not being made to pay for it. Israel took the land in a war, if the countries did not want to risk having there land taken, they should not have started the war.
