There have been many incidents against Russian Jews and the mistreatment of Ethiopian Jews which are one of the oldest if not the oldest Jewish communities in the world.
Israel has also been singled out as having the worst refugee camp conditions in the world by humanitarian watch organization.

It seems the Israeli government is not admitting doing this against the women's will, just that the injections were given as a routine matter. There are allegations they were given without consent, and also without clearly telling the women what they were for.
We'll have to wait to get to the bottom of this to determine if the people involved were "merely" behaving in a grossly unethical manner, or if they were engaged in a deliberate program to reduce the birth rate of this group.

I'm not sure what to think about it...the history of the decision intrigues me. I suspect it is true, this country has done many shady things to fellow jews, like using political connections to block former USSR citizens from the US so they'd come to Israel (this has helped Israel a great deal, with about 1 mill russians joining us, but "Immoral" doesn't even begin to describe the act).

This thread concerns alleged vile actions by the State of Israel. As it pains and is admirably concerning to you, if true then contempt and criticism is warranted at the involved department(s) and government.

They told the women it was an innoculation, it was depo-provera, birth statistics for Ethiopian women in Israel is down 90% in ten years, the issue is admitted by those responsible for the administration of it.
The widespread practice is thought to account for the last decades near-halving of the Ethiopian birth rate in Israel.

90% would seem to be on the face of an absurd number. I mean that would be like going from having 10 kids to having 1. If this were the case it would seem to point to Eugenics.
Whereas almost halving could be going from say 6 to a more reasonable 3. There is no reason to think that say as people adjust from living in Ethiopia to Israel that they would not start having less children.
