Netanyahu knows damn well the civilians of Gaza have no possible escape. His own soldiers will see to that. His "flee" message is for international consumption. When Israeli soldiers, at Netanyahu's command, slaughter civilians Netanyahu will claim, "I told them to leave."

I can 100% understand why Gaza elected Hamas; you subjugate people and they'll turn to psychopathic strongmen to take a pound of your flesh. My biggest complaint is people acting like Hamas is uniquely psychotic when slaughtering civilians is the norm in war. This is going to get ugly. Israel is going to re-occupy Gaza for awhile, and will very likely be air striking Iran within days. It's quite possible the US will end up getting involved as well. And it could widen much farther than that.
