Chas Freeman: From my point of view as an American, this was a defilement of our legislature and it was a national humiliation. I don't think that emulating the people's Congress in Pongyang in its slavish devotion to Kim Jong Un is worthy of any legislative body. I would hope that had Adolf Eichman appeared before the Congress he would not have been received in this light. But this is a man, Netanyahu, whose speech by the way was a barrage of lies and deceptive comments, nothing true whatsoever but very skillfully delivered. He's a very good politician. This is a product of the slavish reality of our Congress which depends on campaign donations and is careerist. Very few there are willing to stand up for principle.
