If I was placing a bet P1 is mostly implemented, P2 not even close, and lol at P3 which is vague to say the least.

Once they can get people not to pay attention anymore they will turn the screws on both Gaza and the West Bank in smaller but cumulative ways to get them to depopulate.

There is no way in fucking hell they are leaving Gaza with Trump as president. This is all a show to give Trump legitimacy to those who have no idea what the fuck reality is.

as i have said previously i am very pessimistic about israel holding up any part of this deal, but for now the people in Gaza have a bit of a reprieve and that is a small win

If Ben Gvir and Smotrich dont withdraw from Netanyahus coalition and keep it propped, they are in on it. No secret they are very opposed to the deal. But they may remain onboard and conspire with N'yahu to scuttle the deal weeks after accepting it and blame it on the Pals. ie, not withdraw from Gaza in p2.

This stinks of the Iranians' release of the American hostages when Reagan took power with Israel taking on the role of the Iranians. What did Trump offer them?

Yeah basically the fix is in if the gov doesn’t fall. Israel has also consistently failed to make good on their agreements to allow more aid in previously so this thing could quite easily just be more empty words.

We all knew 'Yahu is a wiley bastard who speaks from multiple orifices. And most of us were expecting this. Basically he is telling his supporters the war will continue during or after phase 2 of the agreement until Israelis military objectives are achieved and the elimination of Hamas.

Netanyahu Just Agreed to a Hostage Deal With Hamas. But It's Not the Deal He's Selling His Supporters

(Haaretz) - There are two versions of the cease-fire and hostage release deal that Israel and Hamas have just agreed to. One version is the official document, which is almost identical to leaked drafts from previous rounds of negotiations. The second version is the deal as described by the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his loyalists in the Israeli and U.S. media...

The gaps between these two versions represent an attempt by Netanyahu to erase a disturbing truth about this deal – that it could have been reached months ago, when some hostages who were killed or murdered over the summer were still alive. But it also tells us something worse: that even after the cease-fire deal comes into effect, Netanyahu could try to sabotage its second phase to renew the war...

...a different version of the deal appears in statements and briefings published by Netanyahu's office and his media loyalists. In this version, phase 2 of the deal is a dead letter, and Israel is hell-bent on renewing the war after the completion of phase 1, even at the cost of sacrificing its male hostages...

I got this cookbook for my mother during Covid as a birthday present. She cooked a few recipes but now at 81 she has no interest in learning new recipes, she cooks what she knows. So she gave me back the cookbook. It's called Falastin - and it's a Palestinian cookbook. Ottolenghi was involved in this project - he is a very well known Israeli chef and has a lot of great cookbooks published, many leaning to the vegetarian tip. It's a beautiful book.

So I was looking through it this weekend to bookmark some recipes, and the book has photos and info/stories on different people throughout the occupied territories who are weaved into the story of food. As I was looking through it, I thought to myself, what a fucking travesty that most of the occupied territories are destroyed right now, and many of the places and people I see in these photos are destroyed and dead. That the Palestinian culture has been wiped off the map in a purposeful way by the genocidal maniacs which are the Israelis. Literally they have wiped this culture off the map, and the West Bank is next.

The Israeli government is pure evil, and to any Israeli who does support the Bibi government and this obscene war, I wish nothing but the worst experiences upon them. Not death, but shitty times.

^ Israel has culturally excorporated a lot of Palestinian/Arab foods that existed way before its founding (humus, falafel, za'atar, etc). They tell the western media these are Israeli foods. They've even ripped off Lebanons national dance, the Dabka, passing it off as an Israeli dance. Didnt go too well as they were savaged in social media over it.

Here's a whole aspect I had never considered:

Israel's bombing campaign has created more than 42 million tons of debris in Gaza, which is 14 times greater than the combined total from all conflicts over the past 16 years, the UN reported in August. A year into the war, the figure is still growing.

Doesn't take a genius to see what happens next. Israel implements most of Phase 1 but then cracks back down slowly but surely to press the Palestinians to leave then go "Oh hey this land is mostly empty so I guess we will look after it for security reasons".

In the West Bank settler violence will continued to be enabled until those folks are pushed out as well.

Here's a whole aspect I had never considered:

The human toll and misery is unimaginable, even with photos, but we've all known for months that Gaza lies in ruins.

And I don't want to reduce this to a monetary figure, but ultimately the American taxpayer will pay to rebuild. It's almost as dumb as our forever war in AF that displaced the Taliban temporarily.
