Of course Netanyahu knew about this attack was coming. Of course he used it as justification to turn Gaza into ruble. Of course he told Palestinians to go south, and once they did, he could then say: ‘Well since everyone is in Egypt now and Gaza has been turned into ruble, guess it belongs to Israel now!’

Now I am reading an article on CNN that Israel provided the US intelligence that an attack was imminent? Articles like this don’t get written without approval from the WH. They’re trying to smear Netanyahu now.

After seeing the narrative on the Ukraine/Russia war, he probably thought western media would provide cover for him and not report on Palestinian deaths. Especially considering how much Israel has the US politicians by the balls.

His big mistake IMO is the Russian/Ukraine war is a static one where the possibility of it spiraling out of control and drawing more countries in is very low.

This war between Palestine/Israel could potentially draw in the US/Syria/Lebanon/Iran, maybe even Egypt and SA. Not to mention, piss off the nearly 2 billion Muslims all around the world who overwhelmingly side with Palestine.

Politically Netanyahu is finished. He will be removed from power once this war is over.

Not sure what you’re talking about.

IDF has a professional core, and their average reservist has more training than any Hamas fighter.

More training when it comes to shoot unarmed civilians certainly, but on the battlefield they are worth about as much as a CoD player who would engage in a real field overnight...

So this guy, to everyone’s surprise, doesn't understand what a free press is.
To be fair, your average Joe Rogan intellect doesn’t really grok it either.

Aside from the IDF, virtually every Israeli in these Kibbutzes is as armed and dangerous as the terrorists. Aside from being an "innocent Israeli community", they are also considered defensive outposts and may have active IDF members and reservists. They would logically be viewed by Hammas as a threat to their operation. All we saw here is one Hammas militant get shot and killed. And?

I'm sure you're basing this on some kind of evidence.

I m basing this on the partly known death toll of israeli militaries wich is published on Haaretz, i post the link, if professionals death toll is that high it means that even these ones are mediocre soldiers, let alone reservists.

You can notice that it seems that in the israeli army about everyone is at least sergent, lieutenant or capitain, to the point than one wonder where are the non graded soldiers, so that s evidence that real military losses are hidden to not aknowledge some kind of palestinian victory at least on the military side of things.

Moreover it s likely that regular soldiers are in the civilian toll list for propaganda purpose as a mean to make public opinions think that civilians were the first target, after the lie about beheaded babies we can be sure that the israeli propagandists are up to any lie that help them legitimate their own, and massive, war crimes.

Tell us that you don't know how legitimate journalism works without telling us you don't know how it works.

Seriously, your cynical propaganda-filled brain has wholly perverted the way you think about everything. You can't see anything as legitimate because every absolutely false thing you believe about the world depends on the notion that everything is as made up and manipulative as the type of information that you subscribe to.

Your brain is utterly fucked.

You believe that? Corbyn is a decent man and not an anti-semite, and that word has lost all fucking meaning these days anyways with the way it's been used.

I completely agree that anti-semitism is a term as abused as terrorism is these days, but I haven't heard anything to say that 'his' social media post was faked etc. This was apparently the fallout of that story:

If it was him that posted that comment (and as much as I liked the guy previous to his Brexit stance, I believe it was his), it's pretty damning.

what a dotard, that guy. clearly has no influence anywhere, eh?
He was interviewed last night on 60 Minutes by Scott Pelley. He has character, which is refreshing and good to see in people with power, and yeah, most powerful person in the world comes to mind.

Another piece on 60 minutes last night was Leslie Stahl's interview of the retired Israeli major general who grabbed his pistol and drove south when he got wind of what was happening, saved some lives and lived to tell about it. A complex story and riveting.

Not sure what you’re talking about.

IDF has a professional core, and their average reservist has more training than any Hamas fighter.

Hamas has some good commanders and planners. They have no heavy weapons and probably not a lot of light weapons.

IDF wants the civilians out to minimise casualties and to say whoever is left near the contact line is Hamas.

If IDF has resolve, goes slow, and is willing to push everyone out of the north block by block it’s hard to see what Hamas can do to change the trajectory.
Um, the paystub at the end, the Hamas soldier/terrorist, that is all he did his entire life.

He had family, kids, health insurance benefits, etc. The Hamas soldiers/terrorists are career professionals.

3 years in the IDF does not compare to a guy who just spent the last decade preparing to fight a war in his own home.

That is their job. That is all they do. That are not lawyers. The are not accountants. They are soldiers.

Yes the IDF has a professional core, but after call up many professional units became skeleton for reserves.

They do have a few remaining professional regiments. The ghosts sf regiment comes to mind. But those regiments don't have the numbers to push Hamas.

And the ghost regiment will run out of manpower before Hamas does.
Wait, why? Reservists can be called in up to 40 years old in Israel, and later for officers (IIRC). That still a lot of manpower for a fairly small country. That said, the reservists have done their 2-3 years of national service and then nothing after. Israel needs a national guard, IMHO. At least NGers keep their skills levels up.

There is a difference between an accountant who is defending his country on the weekend

And a Hamas soldier the has spent the last 10 15 years doing nothing but preparing to defend his home.

It is the difference between a professional soldier and weekend warrior.

The difference is a 100x

The IDF has tanks, 155mm, airstrikes, that will all help. But Hamas has already planned for all that.

They have had 19 years to bury the IEDs. I am sure the IEDs will be large enough to toss tanks through the air.

With an extensive tunnel network, there will be no visible clues on the surface where IEDs are located.

Think:
scale, because if they have the resources to mass fire rockets to overwhelm iron dome, they have the resources to do that.

I'll be 70 sometime next summer. This shit has been going on my entire life. Nothing has changed no matter how much intervention by our country and others has been able to fix this crap of saying my people have more rights to the piece of real estate than your people. I don't know the answer, but I'm just sick and tired of this endless shit. I will have no other comments. Words have meant nothing, People just seemed to be determined to declare their moral superiority in this dreadful, and endless situation. It's nothing but hell on earth. I'm done.

Interesting point about the difference in professionality between IDF reservists and Hamas fighters. When a Hamas fighter dies, a soldier is killed. All that person did was train to fight and die against Israel, its really a strain or burden on the system being "lifted" from Palestine since presumably that soldier does not have a day job and doesn't actually "produce" anything.

When an IDF reservist dies, a soldier is killed, but also a Lawyer/Doctor/Professor/Businessman/Engineer, etc someone with an actual future within the state of Israel and (given the contributions to science/engineering/etc that have come from Israel) for the entire world.

Certainly speaks to the difference in attitude between Israel and Hamas in terms of the relative value of their fighters (why Israel will release 1000's of Hamas fighters for the release of one reservist).
