Furthermore, if you blow up a few key buildings/resources in a city then it won't matter if you specifically avoided the hospitals, because a hospital without power (for example) results in a multitude of dead patients. Simply setting up a few roadblocks and constricting the flow of traffic could starve a few hospitals out of urgent medical resources. When you're indifferent to the loss of human life but you still want to make it look like you have some scruples, there's all kinds of sick games you could play to kill as many people as possible and feign ignorance.

I don't see it either, i saw something from Libya calling for an embargo but they have no influenceIt's not the 1970s any more. The other Arab states - particularly Saudi Arabia - have largely abandoned the Palestinians at this point. Or they've collapsed into internal chaos, like Libya and Syria and Iraq. I mean, I'm no geopolitics expert, but I don't see much sign of anything like an oil embargo.
If there _were_ such a thing it might not affect the US, but it would absolutely clobber the economies of Japan and much of Europe, coming on top of the Ukraine war. But I just don't think it's very likely. Though I thought the West had only just started repairing relations with Iran, precisely to keep the oil flowing from that country, and presumably that's all going to fall apart again? So inflation will probably get even worse.
