Israeli leader condemns Palestinian Muslim cleric

Mufti Mohammed Hussein's comments came at a political gathering of supporters of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He said his remarks were taken out of context and that he didn't incite people to kill Jews. But by speaking at the venue, Hussein appeared to be linking the battle to the conflict with Israel.

"The hour of resurrection will not come until you fight the Jews," Hussein told the gathering, citing a hadith, or saying attributed to the Prophet Muhammad. "The Jews will hide behind stones and trees. But the trees and the stones will call: oh Muslim, oh servant of God, there is a Jew hiding behind me so come and kill him.""

Criticizing a government's policy isn't the same thing as hating on an ethnic group.

There's a big difference in not having a favorable view of Jews and wanting to kill Jews.

And there's also the issue of that is even what the guy was actually suggesting, as the article mentions that he claims his statements were taken out of context but doesn't bother to quote him in regard to that context or how his statement should be taken. Regardless, the notion that Muhammad commanded Muslims to kill off Jews is absurd on it's face, as it stands in flagrant contradiction to the long history of Jews living in Muslim dominated lands which stretches back all the way to the time of Muhammad.

I was talking about Muslims in the middle-east (because, you know that's the topic). I already posted a link to a poll substantiating that. There are countless others you can google.

Actually, all of them who believe the Hadiths are holy and to be followed. This would be most of them.

This is why I say Islam would be a MUCH better religion is they stuck with just the Quran instead of the Quran and other books.


EDIT: To put those lines in context, they are during the End of Days, when the Mafti and Jesus returns. BTW, when Jesus returns, Islam says He will proclaim that Allah is God and Mohammed is His Prophet.

I wonder why Palestinians view Jews unfavorably. There are 778,993 Palestinian refugees in the West Bank and 1,106,195 in Gaza [that's nearly Gaza's entire population].

Do you rationally believe they would hold a positive view towards the only Jews they've known? Most of whom profess to not follow the Jewish faith but rather maintain their Jewish "culture"? Who speak a language that was revived for Modern use less than one hundred years ago? Who maintain a charade to appropriate land that does not belong to them?

I am sure the percentage of Syrians, Jordanians, and Egyptians that were cast aside by their home nations and are now called Palestinians who hate Jews is much higher than in other nations. It simply makes sense.
