VERY different circumstance here. The ship had been given PLENTY of fair warning. History of weapon smuggling into gaza has barred any imports of "aid" unless it goes through israeli hands.
Israel, as far as I read, offered to give gaza the "supplies" the legit way, through israel, if the activists wanted, obviously they said no or they wouldnt be in this position.
Problem being, Israel has no jurisdiction in international waters, and of the waters of Gaza. They can shout until they're blue in the cheeks, lawfully they had nothing they could do.
Zebo said:Says who? Guess you missed the part about the flotillas were not peaceful humanitarians, at all, but rather militants who were preparing for provocation and violence, and shipping of illegal goods. If Israeli had half a brain those fools would not have boarded anything but sunk them all. Instead, like the fools they are, they boarded and got themselves goated and killed.
Says who? Really, members from 50 different countries were all pro-palestinian militants? Houses, cement, steel, wheelchairs, food can be used as weapons now? Pray tell, watch the video link I posted. One crew member was wielding some yellow pole, no other had weapons. Tell me, how effective is a pole versus an army helicopter? That chopper was just hovering there. If they were militants... they couldn't even store one RPG aboard? One pistol?
