It was a bad decision to carry this out in international waters, I don't understand the thinking there.

That being said from the video I've seen so far the activists attacked the soldiers boarding the ships with what looked like metal bars and apparently 6 Israeli soldiers were stabbed/shot so its no surprise what happened no matter what way you look at it. Israel has offered to give gaza the supplies through the accepted-by-israel way. the way israel can guarantee weapons are not going into gaza. these activists denied it. Same supplies.

I am literally expecting the news article which will state that weapon smuggling was going to be attempted by these ships. Seems that is the only "determination" this group was going for.

VERY different circumstance here. The ship had been given PLENTY of fair warning. History of weapon smuggling into gaza has barred any imports of "aid" unless it goes through israeli hands.

Israel, as far as I read, offered to give gaza the "supplies" the legit way, through israel, if the activists wanted, obviously they said no or they wouldnt be in this position.

Says who? Guess you missed the part about the flotillas were not peaceful humanitarians, at all, but rather militants who were preparing for provocation and violence, and shipping of illegal goods. If Israeli had half a brain those fools would not have boarded anything but sunk them all.
