Makes you wonder how many times they've pulled this shit in the past and got away with it.

I don't know about the past, but I was just reading this article about an hour ago

Last week, the Israel Defence Force had to issue a retraction over an audio clip it had claimed was a conversation between Israeli naval officials and people on the Mavi Marmara, in which an activist told soldiers to "go back to Auschwitz". The clip was carried by Israeli and international press, but today the army released a "clarification/correction", explaining that it had edited the footage and that it was not clear who had made the comment.

The Israeli army also backed down last week from an earlier claim that soldiers were attacked by al-Qaida "mercenaries" aboard the Gaza flotilla. An article appearing on the IDF spokesperson's website with the headline: "Attackers of the IDF soldiers found to be al-Qaida mercenaries", was later changed to "Attackers of the IDF Soldiers found without identification papers," with the information about al-Qaida removed from the main article. An army spokesperson told the Guardian there was no evidence proving such a link to the terror organisation.

Israel forced to apologise for YouTube spoof of Gaza flotilla

"Gaza officials have refused roughly 20 truckloads of aid confiscated from the "Freedom Flotilla," saying the goods were broken and that they would not accept goods while any flotilla activists were still detained"

so the boat was nothing about the aid, but the activists - most of whom have been deported.

are these activists hamas supporters? are they trained turkish agentS?

you did not respond to what i wrote, condemned all my sources as propaganda (including the AP article written by a frenchmen).

like someone said above, you dismiss mainstream reliable sources as propaganda, constantly demanding more evidence, but when you find some fringe blog you cite it like its the fucking Quran.

maxblumenthal? LOL.

Max links to the press release. You saw that right?

How are you complaining about an article that links to the press release while you post JPost propaganda?

Time for you to face facts. IDF created a propaganda video.

Lie. I said JPost was propaganda and pointed out your claim didn't even match there's.

I did not call the other article propaganda. I contradicted it.

I did respond to everything you wrote.

No, JPost is not a mainstream reliable source. It's highly biased.

when you find some fringe blog you cite it like its the fucking Quran.

Are you calling this a fringe blog?

For the time being, Egypt is only allowing a restricted group of Gazans to leave the territory, including medical patients, students attending foreign universities and those with residency abroad. In nearly a week, thousands of Gazans have left and 500 tons of medical supplies were trucked in. It has done so before, sporadically and for a period limited to two or three days.

Egypt will not transfer large cargo shipments or construction material because the border crossing is designed primarily for travelers, the security official said. One such convoy, organized by Egypt's Islamic opposition movement, the Muslim Brotherhood, was stopped Monday before it got close to the border

Egypt is toeing a fine line of appeasement between the Muslims and Israel plus its own security. They do not trust the Hamas leadership at all it seems orare worried about problems with Israel that will either close the border or unleash a flood of Palestinians into Gaza that they do not want.

Rather, the tin-pot dictatorship of Egypt has long been towing the line of Zionists, because they need the billions every year in aid we US taxpayers give them to do so. However, their conscious is apparently getting to them, albeit I'm sure this change in policy is largely because the flotilla massacre royally pissed their population off.

All this shows is the Common Courtesy is totally clueless.

Riddle me this Common Courtesy, why should any Arab nation take in a flood of penniless
Palestinian refuges? Now if Israel had not robbed the Palestinians of their former possessions, in terms of land, wealth and property, the Palestinians could have at least sold what the owned, and buy their way into surrounding Arab nations.

But because Israel damaged the Palestinians, its the position of every Arab nation that Israel makes them whole. What is wrong or illogical about that, especially by every liability law principle in the entire world.

Yet its the position of every Israeli fan clubber, that somehow, if no one else wants the penny less Palestinians, it excuses Israeli too.

When in reality the world is saying the Palestinians are an Israeli problem, Israel and only Israel must deal with FAIRLY. And all this flotilla problem shows is that tick tick Tick, Israeli must get off it dead butt very soon, or Israeli will have no say on how the rest of the world decides to solve a mid-east peace.

Just curious, you're not one who also believes the U.S. should open up the Mexican border and grant amnesty to all illegals, are you?

The Arabs damaged the Palestinians by using them as pawns in their wars of hatred against Israel. All the Israelis did was to defend themselves against the bigger Armies that the Palestinians backed.

And has been aptly demonstrated - no Arab nation wants them to be established on their territory.

Because they are trouble.

Penniless -Ha. The Palestinians are wealthier than the avarge Arab.
Israel has been willing to deal with the Palestinian problem if the Palestinians want the problem solved. Up to this opint they have not demonstrated that they want the problem solved; they want Israel gone.

What is the world going to do to Israel;
  • Boycott - we have seen how well that has worked and still is working for other countries.
  • Attack - who will have the guts to do so and that has the capacity. Not a Mulsim state - they have to much to loose. The world will not go to war over the Palestinian problem - they will whine and moan and as you stated; let the ISraelis deal with it.
  • Chastise - Lip service
  • Wink and continue on with business as usual.

Bingo at least Common Courtesy picked first, "Boycott - we have seen how well that has worked and still is working for other countries."

Common Courtesy, go peddle your how well it worked to former South African apartheid white supremacists, maybe they will buy it, but the Israeli position died on 5/31/2010, and if Israel wants to avoid that dope slap economic embargo, they better find some friends to avoid that economic embargo.

Israel may have delighted in dope every surrounding Arab nation, but they will not find a single friend in the entire mid-east now, They just Po'd the Brits, the French, the Germans, the Swedes, the Turks, and just about everyone else, and Bozo Netanyuhu still stays defiant? And now Israel who has insulted Obama at every opportunity thinks the USA will keep saving their butt no matter how stupidly they behave?

I simply point out to you, if the USA has to choose between choosing the Turks or Israel, its a no brainer, the USA will take the Turks in a heart beat.

A smart Israel may be a US asset, but a stupid Israel is a liability to the entire world.

the whole "israel is an apartheid" excuse has failed miserably.

if israel were an apartheid state, the Europeans would use it as a weapon to force change.

but since this is mostly arab outrage, no one takes it seriously.

funny coming from LL, considering the muslim states are true apartheids. So is Turkey. Hell, Lebanon is an apartheid state.

in fact, post-apartheid south africa is still more racist and apartheid than israel ever has been.

and the boycotts didnt end the apartheid, it was the ANC terrorism and US-congress sanctions.

the cultural boycotts did very little, though many on the left like to think otherwise.

most boycotts of israel has only back-fired. i know some leftists in my city tried boycotting fruits grown in israel.

guess what? people had a buy-out and now the stores plan on supplying more israeli-goods because of the counter-boycotts. LOL

Besides, much of Northern isn't rightly Arab, but rather Berber. Granted, it's not surprising to see bigots conflate the two, or wipe Palestine off their maps.

The only bigots are the leaders of the countries surrounding Israel who pass laws marginalizing Jews in public life and make statements denying the Holocaust, or stating that Israel should be wiped off the map.

Israel's only requirements for peace talks with Hamas were that:

1.) Hamas recognizes Israel as a legitimate state.
2.) Hamas stops attacking Israel.

Hamas refused to do either. Why should Israel allow an openly hostile neighbor to continue attacking it unimpeded? It's unfortunate that the people in Gaza have to suffer because their government is a de facto terrorist group, but Hamas doesn't seem to care about the welfare of their own people, unfortunately.
