I have an MSI K7 Master (without the SCSI ) running for the past 6 days now without any problems. It is a very stable motherboard and overclocks pretty well too. So far I do not have any incompatibility problems with my present setup. I have Win98SE running on it since I have this setup as my gaming rig. If you want to read more about this board, visit
www.amdmb.com forum site . There is a forum dedicated to MSI users. Also
www.msihardware.com and
www.amdzone.com are other places you'll see this mobo being discuss. There are only three things that I want to point out (minor nuisances):
a) Lack of onboard IDE RAID. For the price you have to pay for the board, they should include it at least.
b) High temp on CPU- This is due to the fact that I read from an MSI forum that the probe on the socket takes very accurate readings of the CPU temp. My 1.2 ghz averages at 47 degrees idle and can go as high as 55 at full load. Im using an Alpha PAL6035 and Delta black fan for cooling. But the mboard is very stable. I cant seem to make it crash yet : ).
c) Only two DIMM slots.
BTW, look for rev. 1.1 of the board since the rev. 1.0 is supposedly can only do 100 mhz. I bought mine from Newegg.com .
