Anyone know if I am going to get rejected as I sent in the printed out page from Google Checkout. It mentions it was purchased from Buy.com. I don't see why they would reject it, but I read on here you need to print out a Buy.com receipt, (which is a little cumbersome especially if you don't have a user ID) which I know most people wouldn't go through the hoops of doing, or were even aware there was a way to print it out from BUY.COM. I checked my name; address; zip code on that rebate status link and nothing so far, but in all fairnesss I mailed it out only last week.

i am not sure if it sa windows only printer... it seems to work fine in ubuntu 7.04 so it supports cups.

Just for my own sanity, how long did it take once you mailed out your rebate, that it showed up on the web-rebates website? It's been about a month and I wouldn't think it should take THAT LONG but maybe I am just being impatient. What say you?

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP. Got my rebate check yesterday and cashed it today, so I have a really sweet little printer for $20. That's almost like the good old days when I got a three inkjet printers for free -- not all at one time -- but those days are gone forever.

Well I received my rebate in less than a month, so I'd say the fact that yours doesn't even show is a bad sign. Probably time to call and resubmit.

I am glad the rebates are coming in. I just got of the phone with HP rebate center. They don't know anything about my rebate, no name, no phone, no address, no submission. Even though I registered the printer with them. Oh, I can resubmit the rebate, and they will get right on it
It simply amazes me how much mail the post office manages to lose going to rebate centers with my name on them!

Web-Rebates.com has listed my offer information with "Error(s): Submission did not include a copy of an itemized dated sales receipt or packing slip."

Yet, I *KNOW* I included the invoice page from Newegg with the price circled and the date underlined. I triple-check these kinds of things!

They have not yet contacted me yet. By mail that is. That is what I am expecting them to do.l

Do you know, if it would hurt for me to send a copy of the invoice to them, *even before they ask for it* at the same address that I sent the original coupon? Of course I will have the Tracking ID (as I see it on the web site) written by hand at the top of the Invoice.

You are gonna have a long wait if you wait for them to contact you. Rebates are all about doing nothing until you give up and they keep the money. Call them!! Get after them and do not let it slide.

clipperfixer: Thank you for the response. I did not think that there would a phone number listed anywhere; I somehow feel that these rebate centers try to be as inaccessible as possible.

Anyhow, after reading your response, I looked up the original coupon page, found a toll-free number and called. After some wait, I found a CSR who took all my details and went to investigate. After being on hold for five minutes, I was told that she had looked at all my paperwork, everything was fine, and I should receive my check in 4 to 6 weeks. I asked about the status message on Web-Rebates.com. She said that would get updated in a few hours and should show up as listing No errors. I guess I will give it 24 hours and see if they have updated the status.

Java cafe, my ranking is nothing, just that I have been to the rebate rodeo a time or two. Soyo taught me well, those bastidges owe me 70 bucks from long ago. It was my first rebate, and I did not keep copies of records, and Soyo got in my pocket. That was the last rebate I got hosed on, I will call them until they know me by first name now, and I keep excellent records now, which comes in handy about 50 percent of the time. I am glad you got after them! Good work.

missed the 19.99 special, but caught it when staples had the 65 rebate..total out of pocket was around 40..

Prints like a champ..super fast, hp is the best.
