Really stupid question, when buying with Google checkout which receipt do you send to HP for the rebate?

Since I don't get a real "Buy.com" invoice but instead I have this "google" version.

I just got off the phone with HP about the s104 offer. They told me that it is not valid at Best buy, BB.com or Office Max or OM.com. I specifically asked if it was valid at Buy.com. She did not want to come right out and say yes, but I made her tell me that it would be valid from there. Then I asked her for her CSR number and she refused! LOL
I am going to order one from Buy.com, but I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling about the rebate at all, even though the form does not say anything about where you can buy it at other than they say it is valid from an HP reseller.

Go here and go to order look up. Click on google checkout or buy.com (you have both order #'s), and it should give you a receipt and you just print it out from there!

So, I went to their live assistant chat, and asked this question, do you have a list of authorized resellers that would comply with rebate s104 requirements. They gave me this webpage, and told me to buy for one listed on there. Of course Best buy is listed even though the CSR on the phone told me it would not be valid from there.

From my post when I first found the deal on buy.com (after the CC offer ended):

I again phoned the HP's rebate center at 888-385-5410 and spoke with CSR, Daniel, CSR #54554. He confirmed that this offer is valid from buy.com and ANY other store, other than Bestbuy or Office Max. For reference, this is the same thing that I was told by CSR, Paul -- CSR #3440 and CSR, Kevin, CSR -- CSR #53324.

Now, you have CSR names and numbers.

yea thats the thing they are good at, driver support. heh even got a injet 540 working in xp once, and that printer is over a decade old

seems the toner cart is a starter cart, only 1000 pages.

I have no idea if the rebates are going to be honored for purchases from Buy.com, but I got my printer yesterday and have hooked it up on my home LAN. It prints very clearly and crisply and is a lot faster than my old printer. If I get my rebate it will have been a deal like in the old days, if not I have a very satisfactory printer at a reasonable price.

I'm probably not going to buy one under any condition, (I'm in school and while it'd be cheaper than ink-jet printing. I really don't NEED another printer...I have 2 Epson AIO's and a decent Canon Pixma) explain for those who are looking at these for their homes/offices.

Others reported problems with this during the first offer from Circuit City @ th $79.99 cutoff price. It could still be a problem for those who buy it for $74.99 with the added $10 off for starting a Google Checkout account. The form for rebate offer S104 includes no such limitation.

If you need further incentive, the rebate for offer S104 is for $65, not $64.50.

Yes, I think even if the rebate does not come through it is a decent deal. I got a buy.com credit card instantly, and their 30.00 credit to my card offer when I bought the printer. So if my rebate comes through the printer will be free, plus a little cash back. So I guess I have yet another Chase card I won't use
