If you looks closely on your BOINC-directory after install, you've got 2 executables, boinc_gui that is linked as shortcut, and BOINC_CLI. The latter is the command-line-version, and has built-in service-install.
So after joining seti@home & setting up proxy if neccessary, just issue boinc_cli -install and you've ready to run. The 1st time you must manually start the service, or reboot.
teriba, currently the 1st part of the wu is very fast, but soon it will slow down. Due to it's currently being debug-build, it's roughtly 75% slower... Of course, it's only the windows-version that have so much debug-code so...
Also remember, BOINC is currently not released, and the seti@home-site really is only announced to a limited number of testers. Unsure if one of these was loud-mouthed and announced it, or someone like me stumbled on the url...
