Nothing you describe sounds like pure software trouble.

How's your battery life? I was stuck at the ER then hospital for 19 hours today. I was able to charge until 10:30 AM (unplugged at 100%), then by 5:30 I was down to 16%. I was messaging via skype or messenging app every once in a while and browsed Anandtech a few times, but I don't think the phone was actually in use more than maybe 1.5-2 hours total.

I noticed the CPU is always warm, even when I pull it out of my pocket or pick it up off the desk from being in standby. Not sure if it's a WP10 thing or not.

i would classify the battery is worse than other Windows Phones I've owned but better than most Android phones I've owned. Can you check the battery stats and see what's draining your battery? It should give you some indication.

Sucks your having that much trouble. I purchased the 950 but it was from ATT. I haven't had near the trouble that your having. I have had an app close suddenly every great once in a while but nothing major. Did you do all the updates first? I know I had ~30 app updates waiting on me as soon as I finished setting up the phone. I updated those and everything has been running pretty smoothly for the most part. Have it paired with the Band 2.

I would like to, but the Microsoft Store online only allows for return/repurchase. If there was a local Microsoft store to me I would have bought it there instead.

Because the preorders have been cut-off again, I would return it and then have to wait a while before I could order a replacement. Since I can return it until 2/1/16 that gives me a chance to wait for OS/app updates or return it after they are readily available to get a replacement.
