I personally have the R4 cart, but they haven't updated the software in a while, and was looking for a cart for a family member and came across this one. They state 100% compatibility, which sadly the R4 doesn't

Edit : had this card for a while now, and very happy with it. Have bought several more since my first purchase, and the fact it supports SDHC cards and R4 not updating their software anymore makes this is a winner for me

For >$20, I'm gonna give it a try. I got around 20 DS games, this would be so much easier to manage the games.

4 bucks more, but it looks like its a bit more stable, a little quicker (in its ui) and its wifi compatibility is better.

The nice lady at DX was nice enough to let me switch the product and pay the difference. Response time was real quick too. Now I just have to wait for the actual product to come. To decide on which one to get, read these 2 reviews. You can also read other reviews as well, they're all very detailed.

EDIT: In response to a question of which was better, the AceKard 2 or Edge, the reviewer from the reviews above (my and Baked's links) said this:

"While the EDGE is a great cart as well, in a contest with the acekard 2, the acekard wins hands down."

I think the CycloDS is the best. They have a pretty big support forum and they frequently release updates.

From the reviews and screen shots, Edge DS is a clone of CycloDS. So if you like CycloDS but wanna use the extra money for that 8GB MSD card, Edge DS would be your pick.

price has gone down by $2. I bought one for my sister, and found it better than my R4 for compatibility. Build quality is better on the R4 though

I got my wife a CycloDS & 2GB memory card for Christmas. Works flawlessly, plus I don't have to worry about losing games anymore

Why is this better (or worse) than the (clone?) DSTT for $6.40 shipped from Dealextreme? I've set up 5 of those with no issues and love the moonshell media player (placed 5 movies on a 2GB card for my daughter). Nice backup for game roms too.

The DSTT looks good and has good reviews. Although it sounds like you can't use it with the 3-in-1 for rumble/GBA.

I have the DSTT and I'm satisfied with it. It doesn't have much in the way of features, but it plays DS ROMs perfectly. The only downside for me is that the menu is sort of laggy.

For the price paid, I can lag a little bit!

Plus the fact that I have games on one flash and 8 movies (along with Moonshell) on another...great for the kids in the car!

I have both the R4 and Ace.

R4 doesn't support higher capacity cards and Ace does. R4 is cheaper in material quality. Haven't found any compatibility issues yet with games but then I don't have that many
