Is it just me, or are you disappointed that nobody has really tried updating those "personal robot" products that were popular in the 1980's? Back then, they were basically robot shaped RC cars with lights and a crude voice synthesizer. If you wanted it to get you a sammich, you had to bust out a remote control and drive it to the kitchen to have the missus put a sammich on there for you.
Now, imagine what those things could do with modern technology? You add Alexa and some self driving tech to those suckers, and they could actually drive themselves to the kitchen when you ask them to "Go get me a sammich!"
I still don't think that we're at the level where it could actually make the sammich, but at least could put Mayo on the shopping list if the missus ran out.
