What's wrong with the politically correct movement? You think in 60 years they'll be celebrating outright racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and other forms of outright bigotry? Slams against "political correctness" are nothing more than cries about the inability to openly express bigoted opinions. Nothing more, nothing less. And I say, prove me wrong.
And that, coupled with the rest of your post, makes for some outlandish irony.
But I'll otherwise agree that yes, times and people change. People get obsessed over the notion that mainstream politicians have changed their voting behavior over a period of decades, that they have said certain things 30 years ago and now they say and vote otherwise, like that's the worst sin in the world. Like... really? It's worse to change your views with time and education, as opposed to holding onto those views despite time and education? lol
A lot of things change over the years. We learn more as a species, we find more evidence toward certain fundamental truths, and in my opinion it's only right that politicians adjust course based on new information and based on the changes in their constituency.
